How to activate your City Card?
You can buy the I Amsterdam City card at any time from this website, If you choose to get the physical card, your card will be activated when you first use it in Amsterdam. If you choose to get the digital card you can activate your card via the I amsterdam City Card app when you are ready to start exploring the city. Download the app here: available for iOS and Android.
Can I visit the same attraction multiple times?
No, each included attraction can only be visited once per card validity period.
Are the Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House included?
No, both are not included. You’ll need to purchase separate tickets. We strongly recommended to book in advance due to demand.
Is airport transport included?
No. The card doesn’t cover train or bus travel to/from Schiphol Airport, or other regional/NS or Connexxion services. You’ll need separate tickets.
What happens if I lose the card?
- Digital card: can be re-downloaded if needed.
- Physical card: cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
